PreparingforInstallation

The SunFastEthernet™ Adapter is an SBus card that operates at either 10 or

100 Mbps, with both an RJ-45 and an MII connector.

1.1 Features

This SBus card offers the following features:

• Switchable 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet. Automatically sets

10/100 Mbps speed. Conforms to IEEE 802.3u Ethernet standard.

• MII complies with IEEE 802.3u standard. Connects to TX, T4, FX, AUI and

all supporting transceivers. Rate of 2.5 MHz for 10 Mbps and 25 MHz for

100 Mbps.

• SBus interface to host system. Complies with IEEE 1496 SBus specification.
